About the Course
Substance use doesn’t start in isolation; it’s often a pattern passed down through generations, shaped by trauma, poverty, and limited access to resources. Whether in urban neighborhoods or rural communities, families struggling with substance use face systemic barriers that make breaking the cycle feel impossible. This workshop takes a deep dive into the root causes of generational substance use, the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and the long-term effects on family systems. Participants will leave with practical, trauma-informed strategies to support individuals and families in rewriting their stories, turning pain into resilience and struggle into strength.
