Building Bridges: Foundations

About the Course

This session introduces foundational concepts for building inclusive, respectful, and trusting relationships across differences. Participants will explore how beliefs, experiences, and unconscious bias shape perceptions, decision-making, and daily interactions. The session emphasizes self-awareness, cultural humility, and intentional reflection as essential starting points for meaningful connection. Participants will learn practical strategies to recognize bias, expand perspective, and strengthen empathy through education, experience, and exposure. The session also encourages translating reflection into action by identifying small, consistent behaviors that promote inclusion, fairness, and belonging.
