Heart2Heart: Turning Conflict Into Conversation With Teens

About the Course

This session is designed for foster parents, caregivers, CASA volunteers, and other adults who support teens and want to communicate with clarity, compassion, and confidence during moments of conflict.

Participants will learn the H.E.A.R.T. Method, a five-step communication framework that supports calm, connected conversations. The session includes practical strategies such as sentence stems, tone modeling, and self-de-escalation techniques. Participants will explore ways to respond to strong emotions, stay grounded during tense moments, and help teens feel seen and heard.

This session includes real-life examples, hands-on practice, and opportunities to reflect and apply new strategies.
