About the Course
This workshop is specifically designed for foster parents who are caring for trauma-exposed youth. It aims to provide foster parents with a deep understanding of trauma and its lasting effects, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to create a trauma-sensitive home environment that supports the healing and growth of young individuals. Through interactive discussions, real-life case studies, and practical examples, foster parents will learn strategies for building resilience, promoting emotional well-being, and fostering a safe and nurturing space for trauma-exposed youth to thrive.

1. Develop a comprehensive understanding of trauma and its impact on the emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development of youth, empowering foster parents to recognize and respond appropriately to the signs and symptoms of trauma exposure.
