About the Course

This session focuses on practical field safety strategies for professionals who conduct work in community and home-based settings. Participants will explore the realities of workplace violence, environmental hazards, and unpredictable situations that can arise during field work. The session emphasizes proactive preparation, situational awareness, and personal vigilance before, during, and after visits. Participants will learn how to assess risk, recognize early warning signs of agitation, and apply proven techniques to de-escalate volatile situations. Through real-world scenarios and safety models, the session builds confidence in decision-making, reinforces personal accountability, and equips participants with tools to protect themselves while maintaining respectful, professional relationships in every environment.
