Teaming with the Parentified Child

About the Course

The parentified child is one who assumes adult responsibilities for themselves, their sibling and their parents because their parents will not or can’t assume the parental role. Burdened by parental responsibilities, the parentified child is not free to experience the wonders of childhood and as a result their social, emotional, and psychological development is neglected. This class explores the root cause of why children become parentified and a plan of action to help these children become children again so that they can experience a typical childhood.
