Embrace Transformation with the "Magic Question"

Questions possess the remarkable ability to shape our perspectives and fuel personal growth. “Magic Questions” are prompts that push us to explore our imagination, confront beliefs, and spark transformative insights. When we’re bold enough to take on “Magic Questions,” they serve as a catalyst for change and progress—guiding us toward more intentional leadership and meaningful impact.
Today’s "Magic Question" is:
“What are we asking people to sustain that our systems are not helping them sustain?”
This question invites us to look beyond individual effort and examine the environment surrounding it. We may ask supervisors to protect their teams while giving them little time to supervise, expect employees to maintain boundaries while rewarding constant availability, or ask teams to sustain new habits while old pressures remain unchanged. When momentum fades, the problem is not always commitment. Sometimes the system has made the desired behavior difficult to maintain. Strong leadership means ensuring our structures, expectations, and everyday practices make it possible for people to sustain what we say matters.
