Creating A School Wellness Committee

One way to activate a culture of wellness in your school is through a wellness committee.  If your school does not have a wellness committee, perhaps consider forming one. 

Step 1 - Identify Potential Members

  • Between 6-12 members including school staff, students, families, and community members

  • Members should represent the diversity of the community 

  • Look for members with  influence in the school and community and with a passion to children's health

  • Step 2 - Recruiting

  • Reach out to your potential committee members.

  • Committee needs may change over time so be prepared to revisit this step if goals evolve.
