Ronna Johnson

Ronna Johnson, RN, PNP is a seasoned trainer and consultant with decades of experience designing and delivering programs focused on substance misuse prevention, child and family well-being, and trauma-informed caregiving. Drawing on over 35 years as a pediatric nurse and nurse practitioner, Ronna brings clinical insight and practical knowledge to the training room—especially when supporting systems that serve medically fragile children and families navigating complex needs.
Her work has focused on equipping foster, kinship, and adoptive families—as well as caseworkers—with tools to meet the needs of children affected by trauma, substance exposure, and systemic stressors. She has also led targeted prevention efforts for pregnant and parenting individuals affected by substance misuse, developing responsive, accessible content for providers and caregivers.
In addition, Ronna has spent over 30 years as a certified CPR and First Aid Instructor, blending clinical skill with accessible instruction that empowers helping professionals and strengthens community response.
